Schiphol will take many additional measures this summer to ensure that your trip is not too uncomfortable. For instance, additional security staff will be on hand during the summer months.
Tip No. 1: allow yourself more time
Since you are a Privium member, you will pass the security gates more quickly than regular passengers. However, during the summer months, this process may nevertheless take a little longer than you are accustomed to. Please keep this in mind when you plan your arrival time at the airport.
Tip No. 2: choose the right Priority waiting area
There are two priority waiting areas for Privium members at the security gates in Departure Hall 1. The waiting area on the left, near the Privium ClubLounge, is generally the more crowded of the two. There tends to be more room in the Priority waiting area on the right, behind check-in desks 2-3 (see image). Departure Hall 1A was opened last spring. It has an additional priority waiting zone that provides quick access to Piers B and C.
Tip No. 3: you are allowed to skip lines and ask for assistance if necessary
At border control, you may automatically cross the border using the Privium iris scan technology. If there are more lines than usual at the border control gates due to the number of passengers, you are allowed to skip the line to get to the Privium iris scan first. If necessary, ask a Schiphol employee on site for assistance.
