Boarding pass and passport to hand
If you are travelling to one of the Schengen countries, you will not have to go through the standard passport control. These European countries have reached agreements which simplify travel within the Schengen zone.
Liquids in a plastic bag
You must put all your liquids and gels in a transparent plastic bag. When it’s time for your items to be scanned, you must place them in a tray separately.
Containers no greater than 100 ml
Each bottle, tube or jar may not contain more than 100-ml. They must not exceed a combined volume of 1-litre. Please note that a half-full 200-ml bottle still counts as 200-ml.
Remove your laptop from your bag
Laptops and tablets must be temporarily removed from your hand baggage. You must put them in a tray on the conveyor, along with your wallet, keys and pocket items.
Don't take any hazardous items with you
Most items are allowed in your hand baggage, except those on the list of hazardous items. Some items, like sharp or pointed objects, are only allowed in your hold baggage.

Hands up: Security scanner
The security scanner is part of our security clearance process. It is a human-sized device that travellers must walk through in order to clear security. The machines purpose is to detect any suspicious objects on someones person. To use it, simply stand inside, raise your hands and wait for 2 seconds. The waves emitted by the machine do not pose any health risks.
