How do I become eligible for an American Express Gold Card?
When you upgrade your Privium Basic membership to a Privium Plus membership at the Privium ClubLounge. Once you have received your new Privium Plus card, you can visit the American Express desks at Schiphol for The American Express Gold Card first year free offer*.
How to apply for an American Express Gold Card
- Schedule an appointment at the Privium ClubLounge (tel. 020 601 4222) where your new Privium Plus card will be created.
- Visit an American Express desk at Schiphol. See below for the locations.
- Show your Privium Plus card and the agents will help you with the application for The Gold Card, which is the first year free (after that € 199 ,-).
- American Express will then process your application. If your application is approved, you will receive The Gold Card within ten business days.
Where to find American Express service desks at Schiphol
There are two American Express service desks at Schiphol, one before Security Control and one after Security Control:
At the Plaza: The American Express service desk at the Plaza is situated opposite the information desk. You will see it before ascending the stairs to the Privium ClubLounge.
Departure Lounge 1: Another American Express service desk can be found in Departure Hall 1, after you have passed through Security Control. It is situated near the Internet Center, before the escalator to Pier D.
