IGP Aude - Rouge

The colour is garnet-red with ruby thighlights that take on a slightly orange tone over time. It has a clear-cut, intense nose with overtones of vanilla, spices, withered roses and underbrush. The taste is dry, but soft, full-bodied, velvety and wellbalanced, and is very long-lasting.

Colour : A beautiful pale yellow, with green highlights.. Nose : A fine, elegant nose, with floral aromas (acacia, flowers of the vine) and fruity notes (passion fruit, grapefruit, litchi). Palate : A well balanced palate with a fresh, enduring final of flinty mineral notes and floral-fruity elements (peach, tangerine zest).

This range of wines was created to carry on the tradition and devotion of Thomas Hardy, as our winemakers continue to expertly craft wines that are rich and full-bodied with good depth of flavour. A fresh, full-bodied Chardonnay with lemon zest and white peach flavours, complemented by subtle oak. A well balanced wine with a creamy smooth texture. The Limestone Coast has a climate well suited for growing Chardonnay, with warm summer days and plenty of sunshine allowing full fruit flavours and sugars to develop. This year we had a favourable ripening season, with mild days and cool nights allowing superlative flavour development. Good canopy cover protected the fruit during the one week of intense heat.
