30 October - 2 November: Schiphol exit on A4 motorway northbound closed due to works

Last update: 27 October 2020, 15:03, Amsterdam

Between the evening of Friday 30th October and the morning of Monday 2nd November, the Schiphol exit on the A4 northbound from The Hague will be closed to traffic in the evening and at night. This weekend, we’ll be working on a new viaduct for aircraft located near the Schiphol exit. We need to install steel formwork so that concrete can be deposited. As a result, the A4 northbound (towards Amsterdam) at Schiphol will also be closed at the following times:

  • From 23:00 on Friday 30th October to 09:00 on Saturday 31st October;
  • From 21:00 on Saturday 31st October to 08:00 on Sunday 1st November;
  • From 20:00 on Sunday 1st November to 05:00 on Monday 2nd November.

Traffic from The Hague towards Schiphol will be diverted from the A4 to the A5 and the A9 at the De Hoek junction. This will lead to an extra 10 minutes of travel time.

Advice

Are you travelling to Schiphol by car in the weekend of 30 October – 2 November and will you be using the A4 northbound from The Hague? Then bear in mind that the journey will take 10 minutes longer due to diversions. Check the up-to-date traffic information before travelling to the airport. That way, you’ll be well-prepared for your trip.
