26 August: waiting times at security check possibly longer than usual

As a result of industrial action by security staff, travellers at Schiphol may experience longer waiting times than usual at security. This action, announced by the FNV and CNV trade unions, involves several brief work stoppages throughout the day. This can have an impact on the flow of travellers. We are doing our best, together with the parties involved, to keep any disruption to a minimum.

Flying from Schiphol? Make sure you arrive at the airport on time. That’s 2 hours before departure for European flights and 3 hours for international flights. You can check the latest updates on schiphol.nl and in the Schiphol app or get in touch with your airline.
During the work stoppages, you temporarily will not be able to make use of your booked timeslot for security. If you booked a timeslot, please take longer waiting times into account and follow staff instructions. The security check may also take longer than usual for Privium members.
