Yama means “mountain” and sakura means “cherry blossom”. Sasanokawa Shuzo, a distillery renowned for its sake, has this time created a lightly peated Japanese whiskey with delicious notes of citrus, peat and malt on the palate. The smoky finish is persistent, accompanied by yellow fruits and vanilla. This whiskey is made from a blend of malt whiskey including peated malted barley and grain whiskey. Double distilled in a pot still, it was aged in bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered.
