Donation applications can be submitted before the closing date. Applications received after the closing date will be considered during the subsequent donation round.
It is recommended to submit your application to the Schiphol Fund secretariat four to six months prior to the realisation of the project.

Applications for general and special donations may be submitted any time of year and will be discussed during the next board meeting.
General donations are presented at the Schiphol Group on one of the dates listed; special donations are presented on the recipient's premises on a date and time to be agreed on with the recipient.
Evaluation procedures
What happens once I submit an application for a general or special donation?
General application evaluation procedure
1. The application is reviewed to see whether it meets the conditions:
- Does not meet the conditions: you will receive a written rejection and we will return the documents submitted as part of the application to you.
- Does meet the conditions: your application will be presented for evaluation during the executive board meeting.
2. The application is evaluated during the executive board meeting:
- You will receive a written confirmation by email that your application is being evaluated.
- Within 2 weeks of the executive board meeting you will be informed in writing about either the acceptance or rejection of your application.
- Donations for a maximum amount of € 2,500 will be announced in writing.
- Donations for more than € 2,500 will be announced during the presentation for which you will receive an invitation.
3. Financial statement and payment:
- You will provide the Schiphol Fund with the signed letter of engagement or confirmation of order for the project.
- Next, you will receive a financial statement. This must be filled in and signed and the original must be returned by post. After the statement has been received the accounting department will make payment.
4. Financial accountability:
By filling in and signing the financial statement you agree to financial accountability for the amount received. This statement of accountability must be in our possession within a year of payment. We kindly ask you to submit the invoices and proof of payment for the donation awarded to you to us by post.
Special application evaluation procedure
1. The application is reviewed to see whether it meets the conditions:
- Does not meet the conditions: you will receive a written rejection and we will return the documents submitted as part of the application to you.
- Does meet the conditions: your application will be presented for evaluation during the executive board meeting.
2. The application is evaluated during the executive board meeting:
- With respect to special donations, the board may call on advisers during the evaluation process.
- Within 2 weeks of the executive board meeting you will be informed in writing if your application has been rejected.
- If the board is interested in your application, you will be invited to give a presentation.
- If the donation is awarded, the presentation will take place on the recipient's premises in agreement with the recipient.
3. You will receive a financial statement.
- You will provide the Schiphol Fund with the signed order letter for the project.
- After we have received the order letter, we will send you a financial statement.
4. Financial accountability:
By filling in and signing the financial statement you agree to financial accountability for the amount received. We kindly ask you to submit the invoices and proof of payment for the donation awarded to you to us by post as soon as possible after realisation of the project and in any case within six months.
