Changed situation near Schiphol bus station

From 1 October, the MKS Bus project will start removing the roundabout between the bus station and the Schiphol Tower. This will change traffic routes for a few months.

What’s changing:

  • From 1 October: Traffic to Skyportplein and the BMC will use the temporary Torenweg instead of Koepelstraat until 30 January.
  • From 16 October: The roundabout will be closed for construction until 30 January. Only KMAR can pass through. Buses and taxis will take a slightly different route.

The map below shows the new routes. Construction ends in January 2026. These changes will help traffic flow better around Schiphol.

Schiphol bus station is getting upgraded

In the coming years, the bus station at Schiphol will be renewed. The current bus stops will be replaced by a large, covered platform. Three new stairways will connect the bus station directly to the train platforms.

There will also be a new bicycle parking area with space for 500 bikes. These improvements will make it easier to reach Schiphol by public transport. From 2027, travelers can use this modern and convenient transport hub.
