Travellers will soon be able to use an improved train and bus station at Schiphol. To achieve this, we are redesigning the bus station as part of the MHS project. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the Amsterdam Transport Region, NS, ProRail, and Schiphol have joined forces to ensure that Schiphol remains a comfortable and safe hub for all travellers.
Travellers will soon have more space to wait comfortably for the bus. With 20 bus stops, there will also be room for more buses. Three new staircases will connect the bus station directly to the train platforms below, making it easier to transfer from train to bus and vice versa. There will also be a bicycle parking facility with space for approximately 500 bicycles, for both travellers and employees. The new bus station is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2027.
The completion of this subproject will create a safer bus station with more space and comfort for travellers.
