Annual groundwater monitoring storage facilities

In consultation with the Dorpsraad Badhoevedorp, Schiphol has agreed to carry out additional monitoring of the groundwater at the temporary storage facilities for soil containing PFAS. In August 2025 we started with groundwater testing twice a year at storage locations. Together with the Dorpsraad, specific threshold and action values have been established, along with clear follow-up steps in the event of any exceedances.

As the signal values and action values have not been exceeded for the third consecutive monitoring period, including in August 2026, the monitoring frequency will be reduced from twice a year to once a year. This arrangement was agreed with the Village Council at the start of the project.
