It's official, the construction of the South-East High-Voltage Mainstation has begun! Together with our contractor consortium K_Dekker and EQUANS, and other partners, we've driven the first pile. The new substation will significantly expand Schiphol's energy grid and enable connection to TenneT's national network. A unique achievement.

This new high-voltage mainstation plays a key role in strengthening our energy grid. The connection to TenneT's national network allows us to power our new 20kV network. This ensures a reliable, future-proof power supply.
This expansion enables us to continue electrifying Schiphol. This process includes electric vehicles, electrifying aircraft stands, and providing energy for buildings and installations.

The station will have a smart design that also benefits the environment. Solar panels will be installed on the roof, the facade will feature a beehive pattern that will serve as an insect hotel, and insect-friendly plants will be planted around the building. This way, the station will not only contribute to a strong energy grid but also to increased biodiversity.
We are collaborating with partners who have extensive experience with complex energy projects. With their knowledge and dedication, we are building a safe, reliable, and future-proof energy supply.

With support from the European Union, we're making these plans a reality. The station will be operational in 2027. Until then, we'll continue building with energy and pride.
This is what energises us!
