With the expansion of Schiphol's power grid, the complexity and capacity within it are also increasing. That’s why, within the Power Grid Master Plan, we are working on the implementation of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). The ADMS enables us to deliver a future-proof and advanced Monitoring and Control System that connects to our Closed Distribution System (CDS). In doing so, we are preparing the electricity grid for the future and making Schiphol cleaner, safer and more efficient.
The new system makes it possible to monitor the network in real time, switch remotely, perform analyses, better manage security of supply and resolve incidents more efficiently.
With ADMS, Schiphol gains continuous insight into both static grid information and the dynamics of consumption by connected components. The system supports calculations and analyses prior to network expansions and helps identify consumption patterns and impending disruptions.
