News: A look ahead at air traffic 13 - 19 July 2020

Schiphol, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) and BAS are working together to make restarting air traffic more predictable for our neighbours. To this purpose, we publish a fact sheet in which we provide you with a glance at the expected number of flights per day and when we expect the peak take-off and landing times to be.

Next week

Next week we expect an average of 520 flights per day at Schiphol. Peak landing time in the morning will be between 07.40 – 08.20h and in the afternoon between 13.00 – 14.00h. The peak take-off time will be between 09.20 and 10.40h. During these peak times, a second runway may be used for take-off or landing. Which runway is used depends on next week’s wind and weather conditions.

Take a look at the fact sheet on bezoekbas.nl (Dutch only).

Fact sheet

The past few months have been quiet around the airport because air traffic has been a fraction of what it normally is due to the COVID-19 crisis. Now that international aviation is picking up again, we want to keep you – our neighbour – up-to-date with what to expect regarding air traffic. With this fact, sheet we provide you with a glance at the week ahead in terms of the expected number of flights per day and when we expect the peak take-off and landing times to be. It may be that a second runway is used during these peak moments. We also look back at the projections and you can see what the actual number of fights per day was. In doing so, we hope you will have a better insight into air traffic in the coming period.
