Aan de slag of op pad: Schiphol for kids

There’s loads to see and do at Schiphol. Not only for adults, but for children too. Are you curious about what you can do at the airport? You’ve come to the right place!

Fun with colouring in

Picture yourself on the platform or at one of the spotter zones. Or do some daydreaming and imagine you’re packing your suitcase to go on holiday. Have fun with these three pictures for you to print out and colour in.

Want to show off your artwork? Write your name and age on your colouring page and send a photo to Schipholambassadeurs@schiphol.nl. Who knows, you might get a spot in our hall of fame.

Schiphol Activity Booklet

Did you know that we handed out Schiphol Activity Booklets this summer? They made standing in the queue a bit more fun. The Schiphol Activity Booklet is full of games, including a wordsearch, spot the difference and a quiz. You can print it out for when you go on holiday, or you can just enjoy doing the activities at home. Please note that the booklet is only available in Dutch.

Kids reporters

Have you already subscribed to our YouTube channel? On it, you’ll find all kinds of fun videos about what goes on at our airport. Like how we prevent planes and birds from colliding with each other and how we use polar bears to clear snow.

Our Kids Reporters go in search of interesting Schiphol stories. Tyler saw how our runway system works from the top of the Polderbaan control tower, and Liesel explored the baggage basement.

Enjoy the view from the Panorama Terrace

The Panorama Terrace is the perfect place to do some plane spotting or to simply enjoy impressive views of Schiphol. Up here, you can watch the activities on the platform and you can feel like a passenger or even a pilot in the true-to-life KLM Fokker 100.

The Panorama Terrace is freely accessible and open every day from 07:00 to 21:00. Please bear in mind that the terrace may be closed when the weather conditions are bad, like when it’s foggy or when there’s a storm.
