News  ·  1 MayAnnual maintenance work on Buitenveldertbaan Runway

From Monday 13 May to Wednesday 22 May, regular maintenance work will take place on the Buitenveldertbaan Runway. As the runway will not be available for air traffic during this period, we will instead use the Kaagbaan Runway for take-off traffic and the Schiphol-Oostbaan Runway for landing traffic when necessary. During Whitsun (18, 19 and 20 May) the Buitenveldertbaan Runway will be available as usual

Repairs, cleaning and grass cutting

The work consists of repair work and minor repairs. We will be cleaning the lights, checking cables and electricity, and mowing the grass around the runway. We will also flush the runway drainage system.

Aalsmeerbaan Runway up next

Good to take into account: the Aalsmeerbaan is the next runway to undergo maintenance. From Monday 3 June to Sunday 9 June, we will be conducting maintenance on the runway and it will not be available for air traffic.
