News: Kaagbaan and Aalsmeerbaan runways limited available on 26 October

Due to the poor weather conditions on Wednesday 20 October, we have been forced to postpone the planned works on the intersection of the Aalsmeerbaan and Kaagbaan runways until Tuesday 26 October. The Kaagbaan and Aalsmeerbaan will therefore be unavailable between 10:00 and 18:00 on that day. It is expected that air traffic will make use of the Zwanenburgbaan Runway when landing from a southerly direction. The Zwanenburgbaan Runway, and potentially the Buitenveldertbaan Runway, can be deployed for air traffic taking off in a southerly direction.

Works rescheduled

The maintenance works on the intersection – taxiway E1 – were due to take place during the runway maintenance on the Kaagbaan Runway (20 October). However, blustery winds from the West meant that the works had to be postponed. The maintenance on the Kaagbaan will be finished on Friday evening (22 October) and the runway will be available to air traffic again. It is not possible to carry out the works on the intersection before Friday evening.
