New airlines and destinations at Schiphol this summer!

luchtvaartmaatschappijen

The IATA summer season starts on 29 March, bringing with it a whole host of new opportunities for our network of destinations.

This summer, we will be welcoming no fewer than four new airlines to Schiphol!

  • LATAM Airlines: São Paulo ↔️ Amsterdam (from 30 March)
From 30 March, LATAM will operate a direct service between Amsterdam and São Paulo using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Interest is high: even before launch, they have doubled the frequency from three to six flights per week.
  • FlyOne Armenia: Yerevan ↔️ Amsterdam (from 1 April)
FlyOne Armenia will fly twice a week between Yerevan and Amsterdam with an Airbus A320 from 1 April. The Armenian capital was last briefly connected to Schiphol in 2021. FlyOne Armenia is part of FlyOne, which already operates flights to Chisinau (Moldova) from Schiphol.
  • Vietnam Airlines – Hanoi ↔️ Amsterdam (from 16 June)
From 16 June, Vietnam Airlines will operate three direct flights per week between Hanoi and Amsterdam using an Airbus A350.
  • Thai Airways – Bangkok ↔️ Amsterdam (from 1 July)
Thai Airways is returning! From 1 July, the airline will fly daily between Bangkok and Amsterdam with the A350-900. This means that, after 30 years, the iconic purple tail will once again be seen at Schiphol.

These new connections strengthen our network and increase freedom of choice for passengers and cargo.

How can we welcome new airlines without exceeding the agreed maximum number of aircraft movements?
Although the number of airlines is growing, we are staying within the agreed maximum. Airlines have returned slots, which will become available for the summer season. Together with our partners, we are developing an extensive network that will not put additional pressure on the number of flights.

New destinations this summer

In addition to the new airlines, our existing partners are expanding their route network. This is possible because these airlines are making different use of their slot portfolio. A selection of the new destinations:

  • KLM: Oviedo, Jersey (new at Schiphol) and Santiago de Compostela
  • Transavia: Alghero (new at Schiphol) and Palermo
  • TUI fly: Brindisi and Tivat (both new at Schiphol).
