First Dutch shipping agent acquires VENUE license:

The Venue license was created by Dutch Customs last year, in order to meet the need for faster customs clearance of the fast-growing amount of e-commerce shipments through AMS airport. The permit provides companies such as Your Cargo Contact an even faster and more efficient customs clearance process.

Your Cargo Contact is the first, of 18 companies that have applied for the VENUE ruling, to obtain the license.

Companies that obtain the VENUE license can send a simplified pre-declaration per imported e-commerce shipment with a value up to € 22 via the VENUE system. This way, once shipments arrive at AMS, they can transfer rapidly to the last mile service provider, as customs formalities have been handled ‘in the air’. For export shipments with a value < € 1000 the VENUE ruling can also be applied.
