On Friday 10 March 2017, Schiphol Fund board members Heleen Kuijten and Floris Vels presented several organisations that are located in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s immediate vicinity and are active in the field of sport and exercise with a total of over €75,000. It was Schiphol’s first donation ceremony of 2017, and also the first such ceremony to be attended by these two new members of the board. The Schiphol Fund is an initiative by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Its objective is to show the airport’s social engagement in its surroundings. This was the first of four general donation ceremonies scheduled to take place in 2017.
