Schiphol has set new airport charges, with noise nuisance being accounted for in the fees. Newer, quieter aircraft types are going to pay relatively less while older, noisier planes are going to pay relatively more to take off and land at the airport. Night flights will also be 3 to 6 times more expensive than daytime flights, depending on the aircraft type.
The fees that Schiphol charges airlines to make use of the airport are going up a total of 37 percent in three years. This is due, among other things, to higher costs, inflation and improvements to the quality of the airport.
