Modify your current connection to the Schiphol Utilities network

Request a modification

Do you have an existing connection for gas, electricity, drinking water, or fire-fighting water? And would you like to make changes to this connection? Then fill out the form below. Read more about the steps from request to implementation of the modification.

To modify your existing connection—for example, to increase or decrease its capacity—you must submit a request by completing the energy request form. Fill out this form as completely as possible. After you send it to us, we will assess whether all necessary information is present to process your request. If not, we will contact you.

Once your request is approved, we follow these steps:

  1. Schiphol Utilities determines where the connection to the network should be made.
  2. You receive an estimate of the one-time connection costs, sign it, and return it to us.
  3. After signing, the connection is installed.
  4. At the same time, you receive a ‘CTA’ (Connection and Transport Agreement), which outlines mutual rights and obligations, including the contracted capacity. This CTA is signed by both parties.
  5. The connection is installed, and you ensure that an energy supplier is assigned to your connection.
  6. We prepare the commissioning form and install a compatible meter. If everything is in order, we activate the connection.
  7. In the following month, you will receive an invoice for the transport costs (electricity and gas) and/or the transport and supply costs (drinking water).

Once your request is approved, we follow these steps in our connection process:

  1. Schiphol Utilities determines where the connection to the network should be made.
  2. We check whether there is capacity available on the network. If so, we proceed to step 3. If not, your request is placed on a waiting list. When capacity becomes available again, the next person on the list will be connected. The person who has been waiting the longest will be helped first.
  3. You receive an estimate of the one-time connection costs, sign it, and return it to us.
  4. After signing, the connection is installed.
  5. You also receive a 'CTA' (Connection and Transport Agreement), which documents the modification to the connection. This is also signed by both parties.
  6. Once the modification is complete, we (if applicable) ensure that the change is reflected in our administration and billing system.

Transport limitation at Schiphol

There is a transport limitation on our network at the moment. Schiphol Utilities is currently unable to offer new connections. However, it is a good idea to already request your future electricity needs or new connection.
