Connect to the Schiphol Utilities network

Request a connection

utilities aanvragen

Through the Schiphol Utilities network, companies located on Schiphol grounds can access gas, electricity, drinking water, and fire-fighting water. You can easily request a connection by filling out the form.

You request a new connection to the Schiphol Utilities network using our energy request form. Fill out this form as completely as possible. After you send the form to us, we will assess whether it contains all the necessary information to process your request. If not, we will contact you.

Once your request is approved, we follow these steps:

  1. Schiphol Utilities determines where the connection to the network should be made.
  2. We check whether there is capacity available on the network. If there is, we proceed to step 3. If not, your request is placed on a waiting list. When capacity becomes available again, the next person on the list will be connected. The person who has been waiting the longest will be helped first.
  3. You receive an estimate of the one-time connection costs, sign it, and return it to us.
  4. After signing, the connection is installed.
  5. At the same time, you receive an 'CTA' (Connection and Transport Agreement), which outlines mutual rights and obligations, including the contracted capacity. This CTA is signed by both parties.
  6. The connection is installed, and you ensure that an energy supplier is assigned to your connection.
  7. We prepare the commissioning form and install a compatible meter. If everything is in order, we activate the connection.
  8. In the following month, you will receive an invoice from us for the transport costs (electricity and gas) and/or the transport and supply costs (drinking water).

Transport limitation at Schiphol

There is a transport limitation on our network at the moment. Schiphol Utilities is currently unable to offer new connections. However, it is a good idea to already request your future electricity needs or new connection.

Generating and feeding back energy

If you generate electricity but do not use or store all of it immediately, the surplus is fed back into the grid. Make sure to sign a ‘transport capacity for feed-in’ agreement with us. This will be included in the connection and transport agreement.

Do you already have a connection with us but no ‘transport capacity for feed-in’ agreement yet? [Modify] your connection.
