New LED Lighting in The Base!

In the office building The Base, we are consistently working on making the building more sustainable. At the end of 2024, we started replacing the fluorescent lighting in the offices of Tower C (4th-7th floors) and in the parking garage.

The new LED lighting features daylight regulation and control. With daylight regulation, the lighting is automatically adjusted based on the amount of natural light in the space. This means the lights dim when there’s enough daylight and brighten when it gets darker.

Daylight control is an advanced lighting management system that enables communication between different lighting components, such as lamps, fixtures, sensors, and switches. This allows for precise adjustment of lighting levels and the creation of programmed scenes. By using dimmable fixtures and the ability to automatically adjust lighting based on presence and daylight, daylight control helps save energy. Additionally, it ensures a comfortable and consistent lighting environment.

Due to the open nature and 24/7 functionality of the parking garage, the lights previously remained on continuously. In the new system, the lighting reduces to 10% when no one is present. When someone enters the garage, the lights will gradually brighten.

With the new LED lighting, we are achieving significant energy savings. In 2025, a second phase will begin, replacing the fluorescent fixtures in Tower B. This marks another important step in the sustainability efforts of The Base.

The Base holds a BREEAM In-Use Very Good certification and an energy label of A+.
