Discover the unique street art project 'Time Lines' at Schiphol

Time Lines at Schiphol

Where you would normally see the usual construction hoardings, the area around the train and bus station—currently under renovation—has now been transformed into a colourful and inspiring passageway.

In collaboration with STRAAT Museum and WINK, five international street artists have created an impressive mural measuring no less than 690 metres. A unique project where art and infrastructure come together.

Inspired by the idea of Paul Klee (graphic artist), the work depicts time in motion—every traveller a point, every life a line. Just like time itself, the artwork never stands still.

Over the next two years, the five artists will return to expand and further develop their works, ensuring the piece continues to evolve.

Do you work in, or regularly pass through, the Schiphol Business District? Then it’s well worth stopping by to see the artwork.

The artwork Time Lines can be viewed until October 2027 around the train and bus station in front of Schiphol Plaza.
