Better insight into air traffic and runway use

The Local Community Contact Centre (BAS) has launched a new app. This app uses push notifications to immediately inform users about changes to runway use, news, and other updates. It also makes it easier to access information and submit reports, and the app now allows users to always have the Flight Tracker at their fingertips.

Residents can download the app on the BAS website (www.bezoekbas.nl). Vanessa de Boer, manager of BAS, says: 'Our customer panel wanted to improve user-friendliness when it comes to finding information and reporting nuisance. We are delighted that this app now meets this need.'

About BAS

The Local Community Contact Centre (BAS) is the information point for the local community and the reporting centre for reports of nuisance related to air traffic around Schiphol. Schiphol launched this foundation in 2007, together with Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL). Local residents can report nuisance on the BAS website. They record the nuisance they experience and report it to us, LVNL, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, and the Civic Advisory Board Schiphol (MRS). The nuisance reports provide input for Schiphol and LVNL's nuisance reduction programme Minder Hinder.
