The Aalsmeerbaan Runway will be unavailable for air traffic from Monday 5 May to Saturday 10 May due to routine maintenance. Aircraft that normally take off from or land on the Aalsmeerbaan will use the Buitenveldertbaan and the Zwanenburgbaan runways more during this period.
In addition to the maintenance work, we are also constructing a temporary runway end on the Aalsmeerbaan. This is necessary because of the major maintenance on the Buitenveldertbaan Runway, which is planned from 10 May to 28 September. The area where the Aalsmeerbaan crosses the Buitenveldertbaan will be a work area during this period. That is why we are temporarily shortening the Aalsmeerbaan Runway slightly.
From 29 September to 5 October, the Aalsmeerbaan will again be out of use due to maintenance. The end of the runway will be repaired and then the runway will be fully available again after this period.
