Last Minute Risk Analysis: Exclude risks

Good preparation makes all the difference. Make sure you know what you have to do, familiarise yourself with the procedures and ensure that your work permit is in order. However, situations can change at any moment even if you are properly prepared. And in turn, this could create new risks. So just before you start work, always carry out a Last Minute Risk Analysis (LMRA).

Golden Rule 2: I always start my work with an LMRA

  • Know what you are supposed to do
  • Chart all the risks
  • Ensure that you make every effort to manage the risks
  • Decide whether or not you can work safely
