Since the end of 2022, a stricter vehicle access policy has been in force around the terminal buildings at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. This area is called the stand-off zone. From the end of 2026, you will need to book a time slot in Schiphol’s Landside Access System (LTS) to enter these zones. This new procedure will be phased in for the various stand-off zones and the operational loading and unloading area at Koeriersplein.

Anyone wishing to enter the stand-off zone or an operational loading and unloading area with a vehicle must reserve a time slot. This applies to all users (Known Carriers and Unknown Carriers). For regular use of a specific location between specific dates, you will be able to request a reservation covering that period. These applications are assessed on the grounds of operational necessity.
We expect to roll out LTS in phases across our various locations from early 2026 onwards. One month before the system becomes operational, you will be able to book a time slot online through the reservation tool. Users will be kept informed of developments in advance through various channels.
