Sometimes you cannot deliver or collect goods or materials without briefly deviating from the traffic rules, such as when you need to park on the pavement to load or unload. You can apply for an exemption for this.
You will only be granted an exemption if it is genuinely necessary. By this we mean that you cannot come up with any other solution to carry out your work.
You can apply for an exemption using the Integrated Licensing Tool (IVT). If you have not received a response from us with any further questions within 7 working days, the exemption will be ready within 20 working days. You can collect it from the location stated in the confirmation email you receive when you submit your application. Have you lost your exemption, or do you wish to make a change? You can do this using the Integrated Permits Tool as well.
