Traffic Review 2024

Schiphol connects the Netherlands with the rest of the world and vice versa. In 2024 we placed third European airport on air transport movements and fourth on passenger volume; we are in line with and surpassing other major airports in terms of recovery and growth after COVID. While we have fewer visiting airlines and less destinations, we did observe an increase in air transport movements. The total number of destinations to and from Schiphol, including passenger and/or cargo services, decreased from 305 destinations in 2023 to 301 destinations on 5 continents in 2024. Schiphol welcomed 66.8 million passengers in 2024 (up 8.0% year-on-year). The airport recorded a total of 473,815 air transport movements (ATMs), an increase of 7.2% compared with 2023. Total cargo volume at Schiphol added up to 1.49 million tonnes in 2024 (a further increase of 8.2% year-on-year). More in depth statistical details are available in the Annual Traffic Review.
