Pharma Gateway Amsterdam (PGA) is a collaborative initiative that brings together logistics providers, customs and regulatory authorities to streamline and optimise the handling of pharmaceutical cargo. Compliance with strict standards such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) at the airport ensures that pharmaceutical products are stored, transported and delivered safely and efficiently while maintaining their integrity.

Many members of the Schiphol PGA community are also certified for IATA CEIV Pharma, a programme that further underlines its commitment to the highest quality in pharmaceutical logistics. At Schiphol, pharmaceutical shipments pass through an environment equipped with temperature-controlled facilities, qualified staff and robust tracking systems, essential for the sensitive nature of these goods.
