Update on COVID-19, week 49: Operations Department Announcements

Week 49

Reminder: face masks are mandatory from December 1st 2020. We kindly remind you that you that face masks are mandatory in all public areas and transit areas throughout The Netherlands from Tuesday, December 1st 2020, and that includes Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
This regulation applies to both passengers and staff.

Maintaining 1,5 meters of distance is still the norm, in addition to this rule, face masks are mandatory for everyone from 13 years of age and above.

Some exemptions apply. For instance, passengers that cannot wear a face mask due to physical, mental or chronic illness need to provide a plausible explanation for their exemption. Also, for instance passengers that are asleep in the resting areas in the lounges must maintain 1,5 meters of distance but can refrain from wearing a mask.

Staff that works behind desk equipped with protection screens or that is deployed in ‘staff only’ areas can also choose not to wear a face mask.
