Update on COVID-19, week 25 #34: Operations Department Announcements

Week 25 #34

In regards to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to give you an update on the latest developments at Schiphol Airport.

Update on airport protocol for preventive safety measures

For your convenience we’ve enclosed a .pdf file of the mandatory health declaration. Passengers can find the health declaration via the following link.

If a passenger answers one of the question with a ‘yes’, airlines and handlers are to make sure that a passenger refrains from checking in and ultimately from boarding the aircraft.

We aim to share our updated protocol on preventive safety measures with you as soon as possible and will be discussing the protocol and address your questions on scaling up operations at Schiphol during the upcoming Project Meeting Airlines on Thursday, June 18th at 14:30 CEST via a skype meeting.

Update on travel restrictions for Dutch citizens and The Netherlands Today the Ministry of Justice and Security in The Netherlands have issued a statement and updated NOTAM to notify airlines and handlers that the EU travel restrictions are extended to Wednesday, July 1st 2020. The EASA list of high-risk countries and the mandatory regulations issued by the Ministry of Transport and Water management remains in effect.

Municipal Health Services check mandatory Health Declaration

Airlines are obliged to make sure that passengers are in the possession of the mandatory health declaration form when flying to AMS from an airport or country specified on the EASA list of high-risk countries. Municipal Health Services indicate that on several occasions during their random checks, passengers could not provide the mandatory document. Please verify with you outstations that passengers before boarding complete the form and communicate to passengers that it is mandatory to have the form on their person when disembarking the aircraft.
