Delta Air Lines to launch Orlando
Starting from March 31 2018, Delta Air Lines will operate to Orlando International Airport. Initially 5 times per week, after two months frequency will be increased to daily flights. The route will be operated with a Boeing 767-300ER with a capacity of 225 seats. Orlando International airport will be a new destination for Schiphol. With this new route, Delta Air Lines will have twenty daily flights to ten American destinations.
Delta Air Lines temporarily to Las Vegas and Austin
Delta Air Lines will be operating temporarily to Las Vegas and Austin in January and March. Responding to demand for tickets due to two large events in the cities: Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas and South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin. Starting January 7, three direct flights to Las Vegas will be operated with a B777-200 with a capacity of 291 seats. Starting March, three direct flights to Austin will be operated with a B767-300 with a capacity of 225 seats.
American Airlines to resume Dallas/Fort Worth
American Airlines will be resuming its seasonal route Dallas/Fort Worth – Amsterdam starting May 5 2018. Capacity will increase through deploying a B777-200 with a capacity of 272 seats, a growth of 60 seats compared to the current B767-300ER American Airlines is using for its first season on this route. Besides Dallas/Fort Worth, American Airlines also operates to Philadelphia all year round.
Iran Air temporarily with an A321
This summer, Iran Air will temporarily operate Tehran – Amsterdam with an A321. This route is normally operated with an A300 or A310. Iran Air is renewing its fleet after years-long sanctions have been lifted. The A321 will be used in the months of August and September. Iran Air operates two flights per week to Schiphol.
KLM doubles frequency to Gdansk
This winter season, KLM will double frequency to Gdansk to two daily flights. The additional service will depart late at night, it will stay overnight and return the next morning. This additional service increases the number of transit options from and to the Polish harbour city significantly. Both flights will be flown with KLM Cityhopper’s Embraer 175 or 190. Just as KLM’s previous new Polish route – Krakow – Gdansk’s frequency is increased fairly quick after the launch of the route on May 15.
