Schiphol Commercial | On 16 December 2021, Real Estate and De Vries en Verburg Bouw signed a contract for the construction of the new Cargo Building 17 at Schiphol South-East. This development is on behalf of dnata – one of the largest cargo handling companies at Schiphol – that currently rents the building. It is Schiphol Commercial’s largest commercial property development at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Cargo Building 17

Cargo Building 5 at Schiphol South is where dnata is currently based. In 2024, this building will be demolished in order to facilitate the second phase of the dual taxiway Quebec project: a second aircraft bridge over the A4 motorway. Turning Quebec into a dual taxiway will increase safety at Schiphol and improve the infrastructure for airlines and Air Traffic Control the Netherlands. The first phase of the project was completed and put into operation in December 2021. For more information about this project, watch the video below.

The construction of Cargo Building 17 will begin in January 2022. The relocation of dnata is set to take place in August 2024.
