KLM to add a new destination, Garuda makes changes and other airline news. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol took home multiple prizes at the 2019 World Routes Awards, Adelaide. Wilco Sweijen won the Individual Leadership award. British business traveller once again name Schiphol as the best airport in Europe, for the 30th time in a row. Schiphol congratualted KLM's 100th birthday with a video and an extraordinary gate activation.

Royal Schiphol Group publishes solid interim figures for the first 6 months of 2019. The net result for the first half of 2019 amounts to 133 million euros compared to a net result of 115 million euros for the first half of 2018.
