Number of flights and peak moments: Look ahead air traffic - Archives
Schiphol and LVNL regularly inform local residents about the development of air traffic. A weekly fact sheet (available in Dutch only) indicates what is expected for the average number of flights per day, the peak moments and what this means for runway use. In addition to the outlook, there is also a review of the past week.
Peak moments and runway use
The fact sheets indicate what the average number of daily flights will be in the coming week and when there will be a take-off or landing peak. During these peak moments a second runway may be used. Which runway that is, depends on the wind and weather conditions and the supply of air traffic. In addition to the outlook, there is also a look back of the actual number of flights, runway use and the peak moments of the past week.
