Runway maintenance in figures

Up to 200 colleagues worked day and night on the 3,300-metre-long runway in recent weeks. They laid over 170,000 square metres of asphalt, which equates to around 34 soccer fields! More than 15 km of lines were painted on this brand-new asphalt and 3,000 sqm of numbers and letters were added. These additions help pilots to easily see the runway from the air. In addition, 1,276 LED lights to 100 kilometres of cables were laid to light the runway at night.
