Between Sunday 1 September 23:00 and Sunday 15 September 23:00, we will be carrying out maintenance work on Runway 06-24. As a result, the runway will not be available for air traffic. During this period we expect more air traffic in a southerly direction from Runway 18C-36C and Runway 18L-36R. Runway 09-27 will also be used more frequently.

Night flights on Runway 18C-36C
Normally, Runway 06-24 is also used for night flights. During the maintenance period in September, night traffic will preferably be routed via Runway 18C-36C. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has granted an exemption for the use of Runway 09-27 for departing night flights and the use of Runway 04-22 for incoming night flights in cases where this is the only option.
What will the maintenance work involve?
During the maintenance period, we will resurface Runway 06-24 and renew markings where necessary. We also check the runway lighting and replace old lights with more sustainable LED lighting. We will also be carrying out work on Runway 06-24 in preparation for the construction of an additional taxiway over the A4 motorway, as part of the Schiphol Safety Improvement Roadmap.
