From 1 April 2019, the GGI (in Dutch: GPI) is mandatory and intended for everyone who performs works at a construction site. This includes work preparation, consulting, advising and coordinating. The GGI applies to all staff of the (main) contractors, suppliers and of Schiphol who wish to have independent access to the construction site (after passing the safety instruction sign). A check is performed at the gate to see whether a staff member is in possession of the certificate of the required GGI.
