A virtual journey through 100 years of Schiphol: Virtual museum
Take a journey through time in our virtual museum. Here you will find all kinds of special stories, photos and short films from the rich, 100-year history of our airport. From the first jet aircraft to the opening of the Polder runway (Runway 18R-36L). From an air-travelling dog to the arrival of the Beatles.
The items in the online museum are taken from Schiphol's own archive, from the Amsterdam Museum, from the Amsterdam City Archives and from the public domain. And you too can contribute!
Upload your Schiphol photo
The online museum is created for and by everyone. You too can help to write our history by uploading your old Schiphol photos, videos and special stories. So if you still have a special photo or video in your attic, share it with everyone in the online museum. And together we can ensure that these Schiphol memories in image and text will remain alive for future generations.
Schiphol exibition in the Amsterdam Museum
The online museum is developed with the Amsterdam Museum. Since September the Amsterdam Museum has a special exhibition: '100 years of Schiphol - ready for take-off'. The online museum was designed and built by Orange Tribes.
