NATO Summit

The NATO Summit will take place on 24 and 25 June 2025 at the World Forum in The Hague. Approximately 45 heads of state and government, 45 ministers of Defence, and 45 ministers of Foreign Affairs are expected to attend. They will be accompanied by around 6,000 delegation members.

In addition, around 800 invited guests will attend the NATO Public Forum and the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in The Hague. Some 2,000 journalists from all parts of the world will report on the summit.

Schiphol Airport has been designated by the Dutch government as the airport for receiving and seeing off delegations. Various other measures will be implemented across the country, including security arrangements and traffic adjustments in and around The Hague and other locations.

This summit brings heads of state, senior officials and delegations from all corners of the globe to the Netherlands. As an international airport and major hub for travellers, Schiphol plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, welcoming and efficient arrival and departure of these delegations. At the same time, we remain committed to serving our everyday passengers, airlines and the surrounding community as best we can.

The NATO Summit may impact the experience in and around the airport, with potential for increased crowds, longer waiting times and changes to accessibility. In addition, heightened activity and security measures around Schiphol may affect local residents. Read this page to find out how you can prepare.
