Adding more electric vehicles
Our key objectives over the next few years are to further expand our electric fleet and to encourage our partners to make greater use of electric vehicles.
What will we do in the near future?
- Diesel generators are increasingly being replaced by electric GPUs. We are also making greater use of pre-conditioned air units (PCAs), which means that aircraft no longer need to run their auxiliary motors.
- More electric buses are being added to the apron fleet.
- We are keen to promote electric vehicle use. Schiphol has already installed 550 airside charging points, serving the part of the airport where the apron vehicles are active.
