News: WTC Malpensa Airport celebrates a successful year

Approximately 8,000m² of space leased

Last year was a resounding success for WTC Malpensa Airport. In 2019, the Business Park leased over 7,000 m² of warehouse space to a host of desirable tenants, including NEOS and CAE. But that’s not all: approximately 1,000 m² of office space was leased to a wide range of leading companies, from FedEx to Fives.

CAE is a particularly welcome addition to the Business Park, having moved into a warehouse at WTC Malpensa Airport in October 2019. As one of the world’s largest producers of aircraft simulators, their mission is to train pilots, cabin crew and aircraft mechanics. CAE has opened a state-of-the-art training centre for EasyJet pilots at WTC Malpensa: a unique initiative, as this is the first EasyJet training centre to be based outside of the UK. Three flight simulators, one flight training system and eight modern classrooms ensure that more than 2,000 pilots will be trained every year. The training centre is operational 7 days a week, 20 hours a day.

Schiphol Real Estate is delighted with the arrival of CAE and the other tenants who were added to the portfolio over the past twelve months. Tenants opted for WTC Malpensa Airport because of its proximity to Malpensa Airport and Milan, and its strong reputation as a location with a high standard of facilities.
