News: P1 Extension steel structure up in six weeks

Within a mere six weeks, Ballast Nedam has finished erecting the steel structure of the P1 Extension, and the prefab concrete floors are now installed as well. All the work was completed in record time. This week, builders will get to work on connecting the bridge, after which the P1 car park and extension will be physically linked.

Blue parking spaces

This week will also mark the start of the application of the floor coating. The same pale grey colour used in P1 will be used for the rooftop level, and the layout of the extension will also be the same. This layout includes the blue parking space designations.

Interior and exterior

Not only the exterior is rapidly taking shape, the interior is transforming too. Much of the new lighting has already been installed, and the contractor has begun extending the cabling for building systems. Among them is the fire alarm system, ensuring that an alarm going off in P1 is also sounded in the P1 Extension.

On schedule

Construction remains on schedule. In fact, the whole project is proceeding entirely to plan, so that the extension will be delivered at the end of September.
