The demolition of the P2 car park has been in full swing since 1 November. As the cement joists have been removed, the foundations are now visible. It will not be long before the gigantic car park will have made way for a new pier and terminal.

Peter Dijk, landside project director: 'Where once were millions of kilos of concrete, we will soon have room for millions of extra passengers.' Lorries have been coming and going to remove the cement joists to a storage location at Schiphol-Southeast. The concrete and other construction material will be given a second life at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
