How Schiphol P+R works
Schiphol’s P4 car park is your stepping stone to Amsterdam from November to March. This secure car park is easily accessible from the A4 and A9 motorways. You can skip the busy roads in and around Amsterdam, then take the express bus that will get you to Museumplein in no time.
Visit our website to reserve your parking space for Schiphol P+R. You will receive an email confirmation once your payment has been received. Show the email on your smartphone to the driver when you get on the bus, and you won’t have to buy a ticket. You won’t even need to print it out.
Free shuttle bus to Amsterdam
Your parking reservation also serves as an express bus return ticket for up to two people. The covered Schiphol Noord junction bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the car park, with bus 397 leaving for Amsterdam every 7 minutes. You can get off and on at Museumplein, Elandsgracht and Leidseplein. At night between 00:00 and 05:00 this line is called N97. Check the Connexxion website for the most current times.
Entering and exiting the car park with number plate recognition
You enter your vehicle registration number when you make your reservation. Your number plate will be scanned as you approach the car park, and the barrier will be lifted automatically. Important: make sure you take your ticket from the machine before you drive into the car park, as you’ll need it when you leave.
Schiphol P+R parking charges
Your reservation for Schiphol P+R allows you to park for 24 hours for only € 15. That’s less than 65 cents an hour! What’s more, that amount also includes bus travel for up to two people. If you stay longer than 24 hours you will pay an additional € 37.50 per day.

I’ve made a reservation, but I want to enter the car park with a different number plate. What should I do?
That’s easily fixed. Go to this site, log in with your e-mail address, postcode and reservation number and simply update your licence plate number.
There are more than two of us. What happens when we get on the express bus?
Your reservation is valid for up to two return tickets. The other passengers will have to buy a ticket on the bus. A return ticket to Museumplein costs around € 5 per person.
What if I need to stay longer than 24 hours?
You can park for up to 24 hours at Schiphol P+R at an attractive rate. After the first 24 hours, you will be charged € 37.50 for each subsequent day. You will need to pay this amount at the car park’s payment machine before you leave, using the ticket you were issued when you entered the car park.
Can I hop on and off several times over?
No. Your bus ticket is a return ticket that allows you to travel to and from Schiphol as one journey. You are free to choose where you will get off in Amsterdam. Get off at the Schiphol Noord junction at one of the stops on line 397 / N97 in Amsterdam. Your bus ticket is not a hop-on / hop-off ticket.

From November to March inclusive, Schiphol’s P4 car park functions as Schiphol P+R. Programme your GPS to go to ‘Loevesteinse Randweg, Badhoevedorp’. Alternatively, you can follow the signs at the airport directing you to Long-Term Parking and P4 Long-Term Parking.
