Welcome back to Schiphol: Face masks, distancing and hand washing
Face masks are mandatory
You must wear a face mask everywhere at Schiphol. From the moment you enter the airport up until you get on the plane (and while you are on board too). You may, of course, take your face mask off when drinking and eating. But please remember to put it back on again afterwards. Thank you!
Just as in the rest of the Netherlands, you should keep a 1.5-metre distance at Schiphol. This can be rather challenging at some locations where you are required to wait, such as the check-in desks, security and passport control, and during boarding and disembarking the plane. You may be requested to stand a little closer to other people at these locations. Thank you for following the instructions given by Schiphol staff.
Wash your hands
At Schiphol, you'll find many hand sanitisers and other possibilities to wash your hands. Don't hesitate to use these free-of-charge facilities that have been installed especially for you. By regularly washing your hands, you are helping to protect yourself and your fellow travellers. It's also a good idea for touching things with your hands to be kept to a minimum. And did you know that you can pay contactless in the shops?
