A4 exits towards Departures closed
The A4 exit to Departures from Amsterdam will be closed from 8-24 May due to maintenance works taking place in the Viaduct. A diversion will be in place for traffic from Amsterdam, which will go via Hoofddorp. Please account for an additional 8 minutes of travel time. The direct exit from The Hague to Departures will be closed from 5 May and will be diverted via the Long-Term Parking exit. The extra travel time for traffic from The Hague is negligible.
Traffic to Schiphol has dramatically decreased due to government measures. Therefore, we are taking advantage of this time to carry out intensive works now instead of later this year as originally planned. That way, we will ensure that there are as few traffic disturbances as possible later this year and we can limit the extra travel time to a maximum of 10 minutes.
Diversion to The Hague from Schiphol
The lane from Schiphol to the A4 towards The Hague is also closed. Traffic from Schiphol to The Hague will flow towards Amsterdam and then follow the regular traffic signs in the direction of Haarlem. Please account for extra travel time of around 7 minutes. The diversions are also sign-posted along the motorway and at Schiphol.
